Labradorite under the microscope

The flash of a labradorite is one of the most beautiful displays of luminescence one may ever see, in my opinion. I absolutely love the many colors this mineral can exhibit.

The photo to the right is of the flash of a labradorite tumble stone taken with my iPhone 14 Pro Max at 3X zoom. For comparison, you can see the photos I’ve taken with my microscope below. This takes is inside the colors of the flash.
