Johnna Crider
Johnna Crider, an artist and writer hailing from Shreveport, Louisiana, now makes her home in Baton Rouge. Her deep-seated passion for creativity has led her to carve out a distinctive niche in the world of gems and minerals, where she specializes in crafting unique jewelry through the art of wire-wrapping.
Her path from a challenging background to becoming a noted artist and writer is a testament to her resilience and dedication. Beyond her jewelry, Johnna has made her mark with insightful articles on Tesla and clean energy, showcasing her advocacy for Elon Musk, who notably invited her to Tesla’s Giga Texas for an interview on her podcast, “GettingStoned,” in 2022.
Although she’s stepped away from journalism, Johnna actively uses X to express her support for Musk’s ventures, alongside her enthusiasm for gems, minerals, cats, and running.
She’s a devoted cat parent, currently broadening her horizons by learning the saxophone, delving into Sumerian studies, and working on her second book, “Illuminated,” which will explore her collection of fluorescent minerals. Johnna is also preparing for a gentle relaunch of her online jewelry store, set for November 2025.
